Bug Program

Brooklyn had a Bug Program at school at the end of April. They sang a bunch of cute songs about spiders, bees etc...it was so dang cute. I have to say OUR butterfly was the cutest one there!

My brother Bryce came to listen to her program

Showing off her wings.

She did great. Shad was sad he had to miss it because Chandler was sick so he had to stay home. Brooklyn loved that her Nanny, Mommy, and Uncle Bryce came though. It was a cute little program. I can't believe she is almost done with Kindergarten. Off to first grade next year!

ACL Surgery

Back in February Shad went skiing with my brothers, Dad, and brother-in-law at Sundance. I think it was only their 3rd run down when Shad was on a Black Diamond Run and he jump turned to go down the hill and he blew his out in his knee. He even had to be tobogganed down the mountain by ski patrol. It turns out he partially tore his MCL & completely tore his ACL. So for weeks he had crutches to wait for his MCL to heal on its own before they would do surgery on his ACL. Finally at the beginning of April they did the ACL reconstruction on his knee. He was flat in bed for a week, even now he still walks with a limp. He won't be completely healed for 6 months. Here are some pics after he came home from surgery.

His lovely leg, with all the stitches

The kids would often lay in bed with him & watch TV.

Cute kids hanging out with Daddy

He had to leave his leg in this CPM machine for 12-16 hours a day. It would slowly move in & out to keep his leg from tightening up. Oh the joy!

Thanks goes out to his AWESOME doctor and physical therapist. He is recovering quite well. We love you Shad and glad that everything went well.

p.s. I told him I DEFINITELY deserve an AWESOME date night for taking care of him for a whole week straight!

IT'S A BOY

I guess since I put that baby ticker on the sidebar I forgot all about posting about our new addition. Baby # 3 will arrive in August, and we can't wait to meet him. We're glad Chandler will have a little friend to play with. Even though Brooklyn will be the only granddaughter on both sides of the family, I'm sure she will just get spoiled all the more.

Even though this pregnancy has been harder than the other ones. I was sick for a good 12 weeks and during that time I was dizzy, had headaches, and numbness. Thankfully that part is over but now I still suffer from migraines and swollen hands and feet. But As long as my blood pressure will stay under control all should be well.

We do have a name picked out but Shad says he is only 90% sure about it because he wants to meet this little guy first! So we shall see. Chandler just wants the baby to be green because that is his favorite color!! Chandler is so funny! We just try and explain that the baby will look a lot like him and that we can put a green shirt on him...(he still insists that he will be green).

We are excited to become a little family of 5!
