Summertime

I thought I would do a post about the fun things we have done this summer. We have done lots of fun things just around our house, neighborhood, etc.

Brooklyn was in a Bike Parade with our Primary. She got to decorate her bike and follow a fire truck around the neighborhood in the parade. She loved it!


Shad and I got to go to Lagoon with Shad's company for their summer party. We had great time together. This is a picture of us at Lagoon-A-Beach. It was 100 degrees the day we went and the pool was a much needed event!

Shad and I learned to make apricot jam this summer too. We had a couple mishaps but overall it turned out great. All of the jars sealed too!

Every year my Dad and I celebrate our Birthdays together, they are just 3 days apart. And no I am not 53 like the cake says, those are my Dad's candles, mine are the individual candles. If you want to know how old I am you can count the candles!! :)

We did lots of swimming this year too. Here is Brooklyn all decked out and ready to go!


Chandler loves swimming too. He would even jump off the diving board, and say "Mommy, don't catch me!!"

I took the kids to 2$ Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Pointe. We went to Farm Country and the kids loved it. Especially the pony ride.

Here is Chandler on his horse. He threw a fit when he had to get off. He loves to ride them, and he wasn't scared at all. I guess we need to go to Texas and visit Shad's parents and let him ride more often!


Chandler and I did some baking this summer too. He loves to lick the bowl and the beaters. He looks so adorable with cookie dough all over! Priceless!

And summer wouldn't be summer without our garden. We have lots of food from it this year. These are my tomatoes. We have also eaten green beans, strawberries, carrots, spinach and lettuce. Our potatoes should be ready soon! And my Mom is giving me grapes and peaches from her garden to make some more jam! Yummy!
