Easter 2010

This Easter we had fun coloring eggs and going on Easter Egg hunts.

Chandler in his Easter outfit. Looking as handsome as ever!

Brooklyn in her Easter dress. She looks so dang cute....not mention she HAS to put lip gloss on everyday before school!

We had a great Easter weekend watching conference & seeing my brother Bryce home from BYU-Idaho. We ate food, candy, and of course Sunday Morning Conference waffles with my family. What a great time of year to celebrate the Savior and all that he did for us.

Chandler's Birthday

Well, our little guy turned the big 3! I can't believe how big they get so fast! Chandler is totally obsessed with the movie "Cars" and of course Lightening McQueen. I have a good friend at work that is totally amazing at cake decorating and she agreed to make Chandler the perfect cake!
Chandler's cake, complete with Goodyear tires!
He loved it!

Blowing out the candles!

Brooklyn wishing him a Happy Birthday!

Chandler is such a joy to be around. Anyone that know him describes as "Funny". He has quite the personality and it so fun to have him around. He loves Lightning McQueen, Buzz Lightyear, Legos, riding his bike, and riding his Lightning McQueen scooter he got for this birthday. His favorite colors are green and orange, and his favorite food is Quesadillas. We love you little Buddy!

Valentines Day 2010

So for Valentine's Day this year we decided to make it a family event. We took the kids downtown to Temple Square, the Church History Museum & the Lion House. We had a great day.

Christmas 2009

So of course I have to do a Christmas post. Shad's side of the family does a Christmas Party every year and Santa was there.

Brooklyn wanted a Kitchen, a Zhu Zhu pet, and a 3 Musketeer Barbie, and Santa didn't disappoint.

We played in the snow too!

Halloween & Surgery

So one of the reasons I got out of the habit of blogging was Brooklyn had another bout with kidney infections. So the day before Halloween they took out 2/3 of her right kidney out, poor thing. We just tried to make the best of the Holiday.
Brooklyn was a fairy princess. I called a few people in our ward and they let her come Trick-or-Treating 2 days early since she would be in the hospital. We have the greatest neighborhood!

Here is Brooklyn after surgery with Balloons and a Bear from Grandma Dee & Papa.

At the hospital they let kids paint their faces and get dressed up. She picked a witch! Sad that she has to sport an IV with it though.

Chandler was a Green Furry Monster.

Such a cute little monster.

Brooklyn was actually released A LOT earlier than we thought. She got to come home 24 hours after surgery. But she was pretty weak so she sat at my Mom's house & handed out candy to the other kids. It was actually really sad to watch because she would cry after all the girls in princess outfits came to the door. She wanted to go out and Trick-or-Treating so bad. I did give in and let her go to one house that was all decked out and spooky.

Overall we are glad they took the kidney out. Since they took it out we haven't had anymore infections, so we are grateful for that. We also are grateful for all the wonderful nurses and doctors at Primary Children's, they do such an amazing job!

October 2009

Well October was quite a busy month for the Gifford clan. Shad's sister Lacey had her little boy Cameron and we went to visit them in the hospital.

My Dad told me at Lake Powell that if I went down the 70 foot zip line that he would take me to DisneyLand (since I have never been). So I did it!

Here is me getting my "1st Visit" pin.
October is the perfect time to go. The weather was great and all the fall decor is out.

We did a lot of gardening over the summer and we finally dug up our potatoes. Here is Shad with a couple.

September 2009

My Boys did A LOT during the month of September. Shad finished his first half marathon, and we are so proud of him!

Here he is after the race!

Chandler is VERY adventurous.

He got into Brooklyn's body paints that are meant for the bathtub! He also decided to break his foot by jumping off the trampoline instead of using the step stool. Crazy kid, but we sure do love him!

His favorite colors are green & orange and since our doctor's office didn't have orange he got green. And he even would jump on the trampoline with it. (I got the doctor's approval first!)
